Stratasys is seeking an Applications Engineer Intern to join the Manufacturing Solutions Business Unit (SBU). The Manufacturing SBU is dedicated to developing and delivering disruptive additive
based manufacturing solutions to strategic vertical markets. The Applications Engineer Intern will support innovation, incubation, development, and demonstration of new Additive Manufacturing technology applications supporting the expanding application area of Rapid Tooling. The Applications Engineer Intern will collaborate with multiple internal functional departments and with external suppliers and development partners to rapidly develop and demonstrate new concepts, materials and processing solutions that meet a broad range of customer application and technology requirements.
Candidate will be exposed to a variety of engineering topics such as, but not limited to, additive manufacturing, material development and evaluation, robotics, and Customer interaction protocol
Solution development and evaluation for manufacturing tools such as jigs and fixtures and related applications on existing and future additive manufacturing systems
Aerospace and automotive industry perspective with an emphasis on composites
Participating in team brainstorming sessions
Ad hoc duties to be assigned
Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in your Junior or higher in a degreed program focused in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field.
Understanding of the following:
Basic SW programming
Trouble shooting, and testing execution.
Good communication and organizational skills, attention to detail.
Comfortable with computers and familiar with MS Office applications.
Familiar with MS Office applications.
Travel Requirements: Rarely
The Stratasys, Inc. Summer Internship Program is designed to give interns a holistic view of what Stratasys has to offer from a multitude of departments. Our 12-week paid program begins in May and goes through mid-August. During the program each intern is embedded in real time projects, which they contribute to or even lead depending on their experience level. Our Campus team helps to educate, train, and grow our interns through Monthly activity such as 3D printing trainings, Lunch & Learn seminars, and Coffee Talks with department leaders. We also try hosting offsite team building activities to promote networking among the group through volunteer events.
