LOCATION: Mexico City, Mexico
The Territory Applications Engineer role will be focused on the exciting industries within our Mexico region and will be responsible for engagement with Aerospace, Consumer Products, Automotive and Government customers looking to leverage Additive manufacturing in R&D and Manufacturing.
The Territory Applications Engineer will provide advanced technical assistance to the Stratasys sales team by executing pre-sales training courses, producing benchmarks and samples, and providing solutions to customer needs. Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to the commercial sales teams in the Americas West region by working with prospective clients and channel partners under minimal supervision and by acting as a liaison between the Stratasys Territory Sales team, Strategic Account Managers, and reseller organizations.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
3-5 years of experience working in a design or manufacturing environment, with a demonstrated basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and tooling required
Experience with manufacturing process requirements, designing and implementing tools and fixtures, performing time and work sequence studies, and recommending adjustments to manufacturing operations, developing standard operations conducting various time and cost studies
Experience supporting complex electro-mechanical equipment is strongly desired
Experience in Computer Numerical Control (CNC), Injection Molding, and Low-Cost/Fast-Turn Injection Molding industries a plus
Good verbal and written communications skills and the ability to resolve technical issues while maintaining a good working relationship with the sales force, customers and internal employees is required
Customer-focused attitude with an appropriate sense of urgency and attention to details when handling customers, process, and machine-related issues is required, as well as a willingness and ability to work as an individual, and as a team, with multiple departments
Knowledge of CAD/CAM software applications and/or Additive Manufacturing industry experience is strongly desired
Project leadership and project management skills desired to independently organize and prioritize multiple duties required
Prefer experience in pre-sales sales training to sales teams
Creativity and willingness to gain an advanced understanding of Additive Manufacturing applications are desired attributes
Must be self-motivated, and be able to work effectively on projects with minimal direct supervision. Project leadership and project management skills highly desired
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 50% Travel (Primarily within territory)
